Big Padikolam – Colour Kanya, Manai Kolams

Padikolam is known as Kanya Kolam, Ezhai Kolam and Manai Kolam. Three big padikolams done by Mrs.Padma Sridhar is being posted in this post. Padikolam can be roughly translated to Step kolam as the padi referred is the steps in a temple tank or pond. The water body in temples are usually enclosed with steps on four sides and they form a pattern around the pond.
